I know i'm not the only one when i say I think certain groups go to far.
Duck Division, FoodFaceF, FF, GlockGroup, SS, have been nothing more than blam-bait for quite some time. On top of that, a good 75% of the Author's explaination contain racsist comments and generaly involve the f-word, the n-word and attaking jewish people. I thought there was suposed to be a remove button (whistle) for these.
Then again.. this is supposed to be how videos are removed based on votes:
100 votes: 1.0
150 votes: 1.25
200 votes: 1.60
And some videos are still up with a 1.3 and over 200 votes. hell, One particualr Submission is on the Recent Relesaes and say [DD] FFF are jews + nigs. Wow, that's not hateful or rascist at all.
I can stand some people submitting stupid flashes or crappy paste jobs and calling it flash. Some are people who are actually trying to make something. But groups of spamimation designers actually competeing in making Retarded videos?
So what is there to do besides just click 0 or 1 everytime one comes out? I've noticed that a lot of the time it takes a while for this stuff to get properly blammed, about a day-day and a half, in the meantime they get to post 2 submissions every day NG time. That could potentially mean four spam posts in in the matter or an hour or less if you time it right.
So what if a new concept was introduced? How about a system that ties into voting that would slow down the problem a little. Since people like this love to post twice a day with this crap. WHy not limit them further, the more your submission are blammed, the less submissions you can post in a certain amount of time. For instance, a spamimation would be brought down to maybe a post a day at first after like five days worth of submissions blammed in a certain amount of time. if the crap continues, maybe only twice a week, then every two weeks, heh finally once a month.
This wouldn't stop it, i'm sure, but it would certainly slow it down. This wouldn't interefere with acutual beginners or people actually trying to make an effort in producing a decent flash, because it takes a couple of days to actually do some good animating.
Of course now some of the offended people are going to ask who the hell am I. I'm, basically put, an animator who hasn't posted anything yet. Simply because I don't feel that anything I have done so far is really something to show the public eye. That doesn't mean inexperienced, or n00b, it just means I try to be courteous and not show anyone something I wouldn't watch either. I got stuff coming, it's just I'm being careful about this.
